The CD offered in this site contains featured selections from ACT ONE of a two act music theatre production, written by writer/musician Jeff Timpe, and recorded in a collaborative volunteer venture by various local and professional artists.
In July of 1996, the first 1000 CD's were pressed which included additional guest performances of local high school and elementary talent (see William P. Warfords Column) . All sales were offered to the participating schools to raise funds for computer workstations that would enable students to write and record their own original compositions.
A second 1000 CD's were pressed 3 months later containing only the Fields Far Away compositions of Act One, and are available now through this web site. The response to this current CD release has been simply overwhelming, and we would like to thank you all for your acceptance and embrace of this recording.Fields Far Away has meant more to us than just a production or a musical. It is a universal concept. A concept that strives to empower every individual to follow and pursue his/her dreams in order to experience the magic that each persons life has in store. It encourages the viewer to pursue the "dream" even in the face of forces which seem to destroy. It enlightens us to the possibility that "change" is not an end or failure, yet a natural occurrence that has the power to redirect us into more profound experiences than first explored . In other words, dreams pursued are never shattered, if belief is maintained they just become deeper and grander than first envisioned. We hope you will look deeply into the waters of this production long enough to catch that fleeting glimpse of wonder and perfection that is truly your very own reflection.
