SONG TWELVE "Prophecy"
Hoh, a long time ago, it was told,
He will come out of the water
He will teach us to see through the eyes of our brother Lion
yet we will keep the songs of our ancestors
Our bodies will be lifted to the feet of the Great spirit
our hearts will guard Mother Earth below.
He is a warrior of dreams a bringer of visions
We will welcome him and his fine gifts
Our hearts will run with the blood of our Great Mother Earth
Our minds will hear the thoughts of the sun and of the stars, and we will call them our own.
it has been told...it has been told
The sacrifice has been made by the blood of our people;
by the wounds in our great mother earth.
We are ready to hear your voice great spirit of the sun.
We wear the clothing of our past,
we reach out our arms to the future.
Send our great brother and we will welcome him.
It was told that the eyes of one from our people,
will see him rise from the water.
This brave, will breathe into him our spirits.
We will carry this symbol of our spirits over our hearts
until he comes.
In another distant meadow in a land known as the Black Plains, elders of an endangered tribe, gather their people in sacred circle.
This day it is told that a man of vision will come to help the people. He will guide them into a future that is filled with technology yet preserves the sacred traditions past.
This man will help them to see through the eyes of all inhabitants of earth, including "brother lion". This man will be somehow be "born of the water", and will bear the tribe's sacred symbol of a rose.
The tribe has endured great suffering and sacrifice. Their feet are securely rooted in sacred soil, and they reach out their arms, ready to receive the voice of the sun and of the stars.
The time has come to welcome this brother of dreams as told long ago. They will carry the symbol of this spirit over their hearts until he comes. The time is close to welcome him and receive gifts that will serve all people. Time to share a vision that will make make them whole.
